ANTAR

K. Selim

Some choose Algeria to illustrate the year 2009 the final kick of Antar Yahia and unexpected joy that he has released in a country that has forgotten the party long ago.

Even Grandmothers get bored, which explains that Harga is a phenomenon that covers all classes. The difference between rich and poor, educated and illiterate resides only in the way of achieving the common aspiration initially. The joy that followed the victory of the national team in Khartoum was just exceptional: it was experienced by most young and old like a big hole in the wall, invisible but strong of boredom that surrounds the country.

latter, until the African Cup and World Cup, appointments should not be missed in sporting terms as the collective morale, slowly resumed its rights. Some believe, or hope that some things seen rather as the massive presence and uninhibited girls and women in the big festive event, are signs of a significant change. Other forcing the line into believing a "second birth" and asked the regime to break with its "constant".

is too much to an event that may have marked the spirits but which will mark probably not the story. Eleven guys gave a little happiness to the Algerians, they have not made a revolution. It was, of course, an illusion that the national celebration and a unanimous victory for the national team can provide those who want change have to fight with whatever means they can to achieve it. Talk about a football game or the stupid reaction of the Egyptian regime to admonish the Algerian regime and the amount of change is surrealism. Do not hover too.

The return of real soon arrived to also reduce the "epic Khartoum" its just an interlude in size routine abysmal. Nothing surprising: neither the freeway collapse of the Algerian section of the Muslim Brotherhood which was to be version "wise" of Islam and the version of moral governance, nor the alliance between "Trotskyism" and a very nationalistic liberalism "highly authoritarian ... A lasting alliance, do we swear, while the "economic néopatriotisme," which seems to underlie the apparently well-cyclical and fragile.

Who might also be surprised by the evocation of the cyclical influence of money in the appointment of representatives in the parliamentary institutions? This is at most a few agreed statements and press articles to use.

Deep in trouble nationally, who really cares about the politics and this Parliament where we do not have a policy? Why do they ignite the Algerians for assemblies where no one has asked when the leak - interested or not is secondary - accumulating to underline that the East-West is not a Straight probity ...

Yes, in the year 2009 goes, this is the kick Antar Yahia, who was the nicest thing. But it was a goal, it was not a kick in the anthill ... Unlike those who gave, by ideology or simply hope, much importance was shot without any pretense of sending a ball into a net.

2009, 2009, YEAR LIVID!

K. Selim

Unity of place, unity of action and time unit is the founder of the entire triptych classical dramaturgy. The political world, shadow theater par excellence, keep the principles of tragedy without it unravels or a solution is in sight. The world order is portrayed by writers who only want one thing only: it lasts. The year ends where it started: in Gaza, bombed city and encircled city, Palestinians openly looted die in the icy indifference of advanced democracies. And in the absence of care of "Arab brothers" who watch also scrutinize the powerful coughing, ensure that their subjects do not engage in any harmful spillover to the best interests of the castes.

2009, Gaza bombed in Gaza surrounded by a "brotherly" wall of steel, has shown ad nauseum, the cowardice of those who want to "moderate" and "realistic." Mahmoud Abbas is the incarnation Palestinian, the moderate who ate all the snakes and put all the pictures before discovering - how naive! - That the U.S. is "biased."

Egypt in the process of regression and inheritance, is the incarnation of the most grotesquely Arab obedient. Authorities who provide support from their people can hope that a role set, even if they are inflated importance. The most prominent actors - most shot and most of them listened, Barack Obama, is triumphantly entered the scene in January - hardly change. They play their roles without ever leaving the scenario.

The financial crisis under control with blows of hundreds of billions of dollars of public funds, has allowed bankers to revive profits and the wealthy to become even more. 2009 was a profitable year for speculators. At this rate business, 2010 will also be smiling, especially in tax havens like Switzerland, where no minaret will not remind the local citizen's existence other than Muslims - prosperous but quiet - who come to fruition in fortunes more or less legal and visiting casinos. Switzerland is still one of the cleanest countries in the world ... In this

Permanent Representation where everything seems to move without changing anything, the decor is immutable, it degrades over the exploitation of the planet. As events unfolded, the play sometimes leaves the register to borrow from the drama of opera buffa.

conference on global warming, held in a northern city turned into police barracks, was the opportunity to enjoy an unusual sight where the buffoonery of the powerful, drunk with egotism, responded to the concern of many. In Copenhagen, the rich showed they were the strongest in the competition of irresponsibility, the emerging have not yet proven that they took a share of world power and the poorest, particularly in Africa, have been turkeys for a bad joke. 2009 was a normal year under the veil of oppression trivialized.

DISCUSSION Murky

K. Selim

Most French are not happy with how the debate unfolds on national identity. President Sarkozy and his advisers, who were constantly staring at the polls, may find that the "coup", launched at the approach of an election, becomes a very bad deal.

By entrusting Eric Besson, renegade Socialist, Minister of Immigration and particularly adventurous policy in the sense - the least elegant of the term - the task of orchestrating this operation, the French president, so they can qualify for cryptic immediately set the debate. The national identity of France would be in question because of the presence on its territory to "foreign" irreducible, Arabs, blacks and Muslims.

The debate, orchestrated in the prefectures, is not philosophical. Consensus is the invective of "not really French," In-integrable by definition ... That's the old fund trade of the "national right" Petain and Le Pen, intellectually at odds with the Gaullist right, we decided to highlight in a context of economic and social crisis. The "spin doctors" Sarkozy's claim to open a debate "popular" in order not to leave the field open for Le Pen.

In fact, they caused a general tension in French society and reopened to Le Pen a great boulevard. They do not shun their pleasure. And the neoconservative right and Atlanticist, played by Nicolas Sarkozy, only bidder. Even a baseball cap turned upside down - Attitude found among young people worldwide - has become the stigma of suburban Arab who can not be a good French ...

Many leftist intellectuals have rebelled against a debate to give a degraded image of France. Sarkozy has seen fit, by daring an unfortunate reference to the Swiss vote against minarets, the good people against the elite. Old trick of the far right.

But the refusal of this debate goes beyond left-wing intellectuals. Even within the Republican right, we're scared of the dangerous turn of murky debates where the French "pure" just dump their hatreds and their ideas about "unclean". It is a UMP deputy, François Baroin, noting that the debate sought by Sarkozy and orchestrated by the very Doriot Eric Besson, takes a direction dishonorable. "We opened Pandora's box, all the instincts developed and ran the company."

is also a former Gaullist Prime Minister Alain Juppe, who states that "everything that can pit communities against each other, and especially against other Muslims, is detestable." However, it must be noted, the debate Prefectural MM. Sarkozy and Besson trivializes the word xenophobic and racist. He does not say what it means to be French, it means "enemies", those French who do not "really would not." That right-wing politicians, De Villepin Baroin or Juppe, preclude romping xenophobia is a sign that there is a strong foundation of democratic values to manipulation neoconservative.

FIASCO!

K. Selim
Unless a dramatic last-minute conference on global warming in Copenhagen will end in failure. The huge Western media machine, looking for a scapegoat, try without conviction designate the People's Republic of China as the first responsible for this terrible outcome.

In the current commitments of rich countries, responsible for the accumulation of greenhouse gases (GHGs), China actually refuses to make concessions without serious consideration. But there is no shadow of a doubt, and posturing "African" of any European head of state will not change anything, Danish fiasco officials are Westerners, the United States in primary. The historical polluters refuse to commit to the height of the damage they take and the challenges of climate change. The blockage was

noticeable at the opening of the conference, there is a fortnight. The Danish Presidency, between complete submission to the United States, deplored by many Europeans, diplomatic incompetence and blatant, has greatly contributed to degrade the atmosphere of a meeting which promised to be yet more auspicious. The strategy of the West was to reduce the level of their commitments and to reach a political statement back from the Kyoto Protocol.

Under pressure from the multinationals, which the men of power in the West are objectively as attorneys, the terms of engagement likely be limited to two degrees higher average global temperatures have been largely alleviated and the legally binding agreement abandoned any way. This position is absurd and dangerous, is primarily the United States. In line with the method of its immediate predecessor, the Shakespearean character who controls the U.S. foreign policy announced without further explanation, the country's participation in climate fund to help developing countries. The statement prompted an outpouring of praise from swooning from all the groupies, European heads of state and "big" media, presumably to pave the way for Obama's declaration before the plenary.

Alas, the president delivered a performance without large, analysts explaining the circumstances he could not proceed without approval from its Congress. If we must hope the Congress of this country is that the climate challenge, as many expect the worst and prepare ... But the lesson is also the king is stripped even faster than expected. Here is a Nobel peace that comes fresh out within days of bringing the war effort from his country to a new level and contributing to the sinking of a conference vital climate.

In this Danish affair, Westerners play a game highly risky. Strategists multinationals consider that the bulk of future disasters will be concentrated in the South and the developed countries would benefit from some level of warming, which could facilitate such exploitation of mineral resources in the poles. By this yardstick, solidarity is very secondary consideration. The cynicism and selfishness are the norm in international relations. But the case nonetheless become common, sordid realism at work in Copenhagen is the mark of a horrific irresponsibility.

crisis between Cairo and Algiers after a game "total"

The Africas No. 99

politically Investing in football can bring large or expensive .... Algiers and Cairo, in a context of passion, were betting big on the meeting between their football teams. At the end of the match, the loser, Egypt, has sparked a third half-time on the front of the media and diplomacy.

By Djaafer Said, Algiers

Between Cairo and Algiers, the battle was that the media before the stoning of buses Algerian football team, on his arrival in Cairo turns into arm iron policy. A telephone interview between Presidents Hosni Mubarak and Bouteflika had led him to keep the match in Cairo, against the advice of staff. By losing only two to zero in very specific conditions, the Algerian team has preserved its chances of qualification. And saved the day with President Bouteflika, who, upon disposal, have been blamed for having naively believed in the verbal assurances of its Egyptian counterpart.

The political cost for Abdelaziz Bouteflika, and the regime in general, could be high because of the general indignation of Algerians plumb in front of the Egyptians, who denied the attack on the team bus and football players accused Algeria of having staged. Young Algerians, who have not accepted that it adds insult to injury, violently attacked the Egyptian interests, those of the mobile operator Djezzy and Egyptair. Bouteflika's decision to organize, with unusual speed in relation to the complexities of the system, an air bridge between Algiers and Khartoum, would compensate for his credulity vis-à-vis the Egyptian president.

Side Egypt, Gamal Mubarak, son of the president and his heir apparent, was ostensibly invested behind his national team. The playoff would be in Khartoum, with a victory a foregone conclusion, a key moment in his march to the coronation as a future "Rats" of the country. The play-off in Khartoum was so saturated with politics.

Double Down

The absolute identification of the youths of both countries - potential danger for both plans - at their football teams made this saturation explosive. In Khartoum, two teams fought a ticket for Africa South, but between the lines, two schemes, the similarities are not accidental, played a strange game of double or quits.

Rarely a football match was due to the investment behind the passion of youth teams, also politically explosive. Neither the media nor the politicians of both countries have managed to admit to the streets, Algerian and Egyptian flick that defeat was a possibility. Khartoum had become a game total: between players, between ... between opinions and plans. The winner, Algeria in this case takes all, loser, Egypt, ... finds himself in hell. And had to manage a return boomerang disappointment, especially bitter that teaching elementary outcomes of a football match had been avoided ... The investment was high, the loss could be severe ...

Formidable media operation

Cairo then decided to organize a great photo op around the alleged "massacres" perpetrated by the Khartoum Algerian fans. The Egyptian television were broadcasting dramatic phone calls of Egyptian citizens from the Sudanese capital, describing scenes of Apocalypse ... In excess, which served ultimately to create a diversion, to add a third to half the match total. In reality, nothing happened in Khartoum, but a single minor incident. The Sudanese government, which mobilized more than fifteen thousand police to ensure the safety of an unexpected match, did not appreciate the communication campaign Cairo. The Egyptian ambassador was summoned to hear the discontent serve Sudan. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the ambassador of Egypt to inform the rejection by Sudan of information disseminated by the Egyptian media about the events after the match, "Khartoum has announced in a statement. "Rather than highlighting everything that Sudan has done for this game, host, hosting nearly 25,000 people and security, the Egyptian media have disseminated false information," said the spokesman Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khalid Osman Muawiya.

"The Maghreb is finally, I've seen and heard"

The Egyptians have tried to appease the Sudanese, but with Algeria, is climbing: a reminder of the Egyptian ambassador in Algiers, violent demonstration outside the embassy in Cairo, to return the call Algerian Ambassador ... The eldest son of Egyptian President Mubarak Alaa, has contributed to the Algerians accused of engaging in "acts of terrorism ... before, during and after the game", calling the Algerian supporters of "mercenaries". Saturday, before the Egyptian Parliament, and without naming Algeria, President Hosni Mubarak said: "Egypt will not show leniency toward those who violate the dignity of its citizens. "The Algerians are frightened by the excesses of attacks and insults on Egyptian television.

far can lead to a diplomatic crisis between Algeria and Egypt? The severance of diplomatic relations is not yet considered ... The Arab League calls for restraint. The Algerian government naturally less constrained, chose not to overbid. But traces of this match will total durable. In Cairo, where the anti-Algerian remains strong, intellectuals call for an end to pan-Arabism "which gives Egypt without receiving in return for hatred." In Algeria, many noted that Gasfa Casablanca to Tunisia, the Algerian team victory was celebrated with much joy to Algiers ... "The Maghreb is finally, I've seen and heard" wrote Casablanca, an old activist of Algerian friends, telling the clamor that has arisen in Morocco and Algeria after the goal horn concerts after the match.

The political class and European media have given the impression of having étéurpris by the Swiss vote against minarets. In the Western press, has established a consensus disapproving how the Swiss can they also vote overwhelmingly for a ban that stigmatizes Islam, those who practice this religion and those who do not necessarily his commandments but who come from a world shaped by it?

Observers alien from public life in Europe, however, doubted the authenticity of this consensus disapproving. For many, it is surprising that there were only about 60% of votes Swiss Islamophobic. This vote was not a clap of thunder in a summer sky. The anti-Muslim hype is permanent and is available on all European records columnists. Since the Iranian revolution and especially the disappearance of the Soviet Union, Islam "has" the monopoly of detestation. It is the scarecrow that was stirred with consistency and determination and that is designated more positively to the mob.

The attacks of September 11, 2001 have been the perfect excuse to skip the last barriers to compliance forms. The war of civilizations, the ultra-liberal subterfuge for imposing the commodification of the world, mobilizes all its foot soldiers. The far right European, whose party Swiss origin of the referendum, has made its aggiornamento. Traditionally anti-Semitic, she had a contract renewed respectability by changing the target of his hatred. In its current version, the far right neoconservative is more anti-Semitic, it is pro-Zionist and anti-Arab.

This junction between novel once violently antagonistic forces at work for several years in the U.S., is becoming more starkly in Europe. The neo-colonial revenge right found a voice to renew the contract ideology. "Benefits" of colonization the ridiculous debates about national identity, through denunciation "republican" the headscarf, the bottom of the air and the references evoke a bygone era.

If history does not repeat itself, fascism, he remains the same. In a crisis, it goes beyond its borders sociological. The extreme right contaminates the traditional right and also recruits from the Social Democrats. The economic crisis and the dizzying growth of inequality favoring uninhibited return to grammar - basic but effective - the demagogic populism. Install the confusion between Islam and terrorism, people assimilate to an army of swarthy obscurantist fanatics, it is an invariant of the dominant discourse. Show minarets as missiles to a population analysis drunk bistro TV is a continuation of this strategy of intoxication.

Make mine surprised at the racial tensions of the mob is completely hypocritical and only serves to reduce, at best, electorally abound in the same direction. Western societies they find the resources to escape political and moral logic of hatred in which ultra-liberalism wants to lock them up?

Switzerland is not an anomaly

must reassure the Swiss bankers: Arab money has no smell dirty even though it may be continue to come. Swiss laundries are still highly rated among wealthy Arabs with or without a minaret. Only Libya, which has already withdrawn his funds from Swiss banks following arrest of a son of the guide, will be strengthened in its unfriendly attitude towards Switzerland.

"Should we ban minarets? "Was obviously the wrong question. Voters to "vote" Swiss have understood and responded to the real question: "yes" banish those who are too different from us, snap them out. The minaret is a pretext for the free expression of a xenophobic and Islamophobic sentiment became totally unmarked throughout Europe. It is somewhat disconcerting to see a near-unanimity of EU leaders to consider that the Swiss vote is not "politically correct" while one way or another they have been for years the powerful vectors an unlimited Islamophobia. The Swiss were perhaps too coarse movements populists and racists who are behind the referendum, be aware. Others probably feel smarter by organizing a debate on "national identity" which is basically the French version of the Swiss vote. Muslims - a term in Europe as'applique also to unbelievers and agnostics in the skin not too clear - have become "too visible". This "visibility" does not derive from their social status envy the European strain. Visibility is orchestrated by a politically broad spectrum of political currents in Europe. Some women who put the full veil and here is a hysterical national debate that is established and that it immediately begs laws to enter the ranks of all Muslims in the area. Manifest his joy in Marseille after the qualification of the Algerian team raises the same indignant reaction from Alain Finkielkraut, one of the most troubled member of the Political Bureau of thought Paris - author of a famous cry of heart hate against the France team "black-black-black" - and the old Le Pen's racist. Above all, do not believe that the Swiss are an anomaly in a tolerant Europe. Islamophobia is a business that is quarrels, raising concerns that higher bids are forthcoming. The system, undeniably democratic "Swiss vote" allows the most common dirty to play the fiber of hatred and fear. Swiss Muslims can do without the minarets at the bottom but they know we just vote against their very presence in Switzerland. And we just deny them the quality of Swiss even if on paper, nationality. It is therefore expected that the Swiss make racist emulated in other European countries. But we can reassure the Swiss banks, so long as they have in need: the super rich Arab too much like their country and its banks and the xenophobic vote will be inconsequential. By cons, we can not promise the Swiss in the Islamic world, individuals will not have the "violent reaction" to do without their chocolate and piles of small things Helvetian.

What Does Cdi Stand For

Hello you all,

We're back from our trip to Bali. The children are very well recovered from jet lag and they continue to radiate. Vacation, the scenery, the simplicity and beauty of what we have seen, learned, experiences we have done well. Awareness, anchors the good values we are in a state of grace.

Lacking financial resources, the people of Bali are working hard to meet their basic needs and yet they smile and they take time to play with their children. They do not live like us in the afraid of losing because they have nothing. They seem to live in hope and confidence. In community they share. At the ceremonies, they participate. We have so many resources that we do not even know our neighbors, we are often too busy with our pursuit of efficiency to telephone a friend or help someone in need. Would we sometimes blinded by all the material that surrounds us to the point of view of losing the essence of life?

In this beautiful sunny morning, take the time to smile and appreciated, not just what you have but what you are. We hope

see you soon to tell you verbally this wonderful adventure.

Good day

How Many Calories Is Stir Fry

Hello,

We end our holiday at a pace slightly slower. I'm starting to get used to it and the girls enjoy the pool and our moments of girls. We had dinner yesterday in an excellent restaurant where we eat satay cooked on coconut, the best from here I'm sure, and tasting of all the rice here, yellow, red, brown, white. I also eat vegetables braised in coconut milk and taste lots of dishes with vegetables such lemongrass, ginger and full of flavor. Today we are back in Kuta and we enjoyed the pleasures here: fresh fruit juice, pineapple and then cut in front of us, massage on the beach at sunset. Emy even has a massage, she almost fell asleep. Full of people asking us to take pictures with us they are impressed by the small blonde. The old lady who massaged us and gave us a bit about his life. She has to walk one hour to come to the beach hoping for a client or two in his day and then return it must help to keep her grandchildren because her daughters work in hotels and must see to the household and the kitchen for those still at home. Retirees who read me, you're lucky because here in 70 years they still massaging people to great heat, both knees in the sand.

I must also share our evening at the temple in a small village of Ubud. First we dress with sarong, shirt and belt that our new friend Kadet us ready. Unfortunately it can not come with us because she is menstruating. A little later, Emy which includes everything quickly looked at me and said mom you do not go to temple because you are monstrous ... "What I am not beautiful enough? ... "Mom you are not monstrous." Eve and I was laughing when we finally understands what she is saying. Phew I'm not her darling. Our driver of the day (visit the zoo where we flattered lion and tiger, visit soap factory, craft market, etc..) Accompanies us. It happens all well dressed with the offerings prepared by his wife in his hands. It takes pictures and en route to the temple.

Before celebrating, going to see the dancers, our driver friend wants to enter the temple to pray for us. We decided to join him. He explains their belief in three gods who form one (the Sun God, god of water or soil air and God. Before leaving Emy was sad to have lost birds made by Kadet as present for the temple. Fortunately our friend had planned the coup, he gives us each a small arrangement of flowers. In the temple of the hundreds of people gathered, and they knelt before each of us files a stick of incense smoke. He explains that we will do 5 short prayers. The first joined hands to open and empty our souls and the second with the pink flowers in their hands to God, then the 3rd with the blue flowers for the temple, the 4th with 2 kinds of flowers for the community, for everything that is to be good in the world and the 5th to thank God and thank life. Fortunately these are only very short prayers. After the prayers we put flowers in their hair. Then it's a blessing. My friend tells me that many people are here and priests marrying their wives also automatically become a priest. These priests pass through the rows of people kneeling directly on the ground barefoot. (Whew, it's super hard on my knee not fully healed) and bless them with water "holly spring. A blessing to be lucky. With his English and mine, I hope it is understandable. The priest pours water and drink the Hindu three times, then the fourth one is poured onto the head to cleanse, to refresh, cleanse, and make new provisions. Then on his forehead sticks some grains of rice then it is also the solar plexus and you eat one or two. Emy wants to lend to the ritual when Eve refused. Provided that the water is good ... I am assured that it is pure water.

Everybody is kind to us, although it does not go unnoticed. But everyone seems happy to see us take part in their ceremony. They are very attached to their custom. Our friend will drop the remaining offerings in front of the temple and then exit it introduces us to his wife and children. We are now coming out of the main temple to go and join the community to celebrate. Nearly a hundred dancers sit in moving the shoulders around a fire singing. Then we play the part of Ramawa, Eve can tell you better because she read the text several times, not easy to understand everything but the costumes and vocal sounds are great. Fatigue wins my chips but they are so captivated they want to stay a little longer. We must leave before the end anyway because the festivities do not end until dawn.

A wonderful evening which will long be remembered. Bali is so rich in culture, I could go to tell you but I am still taking, I want the girls are resting but I can never be at a restaurant before 20:00 and the service here is super slow. We made it and it even comes to appreciate the pace

Hope to see you again soon, we leave in the night and tomorrow but will be back Sunday night (Monday morning for us here ...)

soon

Lincoln Continental 1961-1964

Hello everyone, I'm

have chosen a better hotel but it is still in Bali. As they have broken the key in the lock, we had to move rooms and have had access to our things 3 hours later. Émy had time to get stung everywhere, I had a chance of benadril. Émy wanted to go home for 10 minutes. She would not leave now I assure you. This morning they followed a different course of painting. They painted beautiful birds. Then came the dance classes. They put the costumes here, I can not wait to show you photos and video. They were made up, coiffed and decked with flowers. Two little girls came to show their dance. At first they were well on all shy. Now even in the absence of a common language they play together and play like crazy. Eve has just cut me to tell me that Balinese has taught him to play a musical instrument than I can what they call a kind of xylophone made of bamboo. It really makes everything here to make our stay enjoyable. Yesterday evening, once the itching subsided Émy we went to dinner. The old Chinese man, called by Professor gave us dinner. He made me taste their brandy and offered me a glass of wine (although it was bad, I could not let this wine is very rare and expensive in Bali in comparison to the cost of the remaining food). Despite his 80 years he is very attentive to its customers: it provides small spoons for girls who had trouble with the chopsticks, then it was postponed because his dog was afraid Eve. Their ice cream with ginger is great, he asked that we reserve Émy.

time I write a downpour ... the days are cloudy and it looks nothing like what I thought was their dry period. At least it is always hot ...

Professor came to take a photo with the girls dressed in Balinese, he was super happy. There are few people who impress me but this man is really somebody. He is of age but it was his experience that we perceive in him speaking. He made several trips around the world. He dreams of a coffee plantation to serve good coffee in Bali (Luke may reflect the poor quality of coffee here. For my part, I'm glad I do not drink) I love the reflections of this man, it seems wise (although unlike the Balinese, it does not go to the temple). He obviously loves people. Take time to look at the world around us, is not this a sign of openness and wisdom.

Tonight, the rain may stop if we go to a ceremony for the temple festival nearby village. For the event coordinator of the hotel, which we love very much, I think we offered to accompany us and lend us costumes needed (since only the sarong, a kind of cloth they placed around our size, not enough not) Despite the costumes, we will still look like tourists through their set of rituals. As Bali is an island that lives mainly on rice and tourists, they are accustomed to see people from everywhere. They are always polite and nice to us. Wherever possible we try to respect their customs. By reflex, we remove our shoes now always wherever we go. We often a sign head with folded hands saying Terim Khasi (I nesuis not sure of the spelling, but it means thank you)

Girls collect a whole bunch of things they are eager to show you (hat, purse , sarong, paintings, necklaces). Emy Eve and especially practice what the people here learn: dance, painting, carrying things on their heads, messages. Furthermore, I remind them often here we always smiled.

Here I see and I really understand why Bali is called "Island of the Gods"

Sonia.

Canadian Army Bush Hat

Hello,

Adapting to the rhythm of Bali, I finally a little more time to write, read and relax. Health Day today. We changed hotels. We are now in a small retreat near Ubud. The owner, an old Chinese man who traveled widely picked us up with the driver in Ubud. I immediately loved it. The inn is really special, each room represents a country he visited. The architectural style is Park Guell in Barcelona, Gaudi style for those who know. At first it seemed chaotic, but finally I enjoy every object ... Dinner

health, organic vegetables, an eleven lemon grass very concentrate for my dose of vitamin even Emy who do not worship the food here has loved his meal. In

PM, massage and manicure for me for my lovely ladies (2 hours each to get nails done) They are super proud of their small flowers on each nail. During my massage I had a view over the rice fields and river, I heard the sounds of birds and waterfalls. At the same time when I write, they broke the key to the bedroom door and it gets stung without access to our room .... I will return later.

soon

Pityriasis Rosea Ringworm

Hello you all,

few more days of pure happiness for me. They say that Ubud is the heart of culture balinéaise and that seems very true. A fantastic guide showed us the center of Bali. By requesting the street, we have been presented. Seller of painting, he also said to be a guide. It must first change since to visit his country, he must dress costume Balinese, not just the Saran but also the shirt and turban. We must first go at him. He invites us to visit his house, architecture typical Balinese him to explain. There is an area of prayer in every home, a room for married people, one for the other (without marriage, can not sleeping together of course.), then the kitchen and reception area. Near the temple of prayer, there is always a tree. Everything is open of course. Most families own a plot of land for cultivating rice. Besides from Nyoman on a large blanket, near the entrance to the sun dry rice. The grandfather smile greets us.

He explains their community life, a small temple for each family, more for each community. We're going to see the Batur volcano. On the way we visit several temples including that of the elephant cave and the Holy Spring, where it is purified. We share their beliefs, their cultures. They believe in reincarnation, in karma. It reminds us that without love, life is nothing. The Balinese great respect the environment, it does not ask the trees but they are always present at the temple gate and they respect them. They have three gods, that of water, earth and fire it (death) as I understand it ... They tell us about their ceremonies, 4 required for marriage. The fathers of the couple meet and agree to the union. Then the groom's father must go to meet the set ready for the wedding day. Some days are good others not, is the anniversary in the vicinity. In fact on our way back, we are arrested in one of these feasts. The temple was colored black and white fabric (for good and evil), then yellow for the party. Each comes with offerings. Preparing a suckling pig on a spit. Dressed in fine clothes (all identical to the villagers), we pray, we sing, we dance. It feels more tourists despite our Saran.

In the streets, our guide made us try a dessert. The old lady with her hands us off in a banana leaf, different fruit or vegetable purees that we do not know. Then the coconut grater. Farewell our good resolutions on hygiene and sterilization, it feels too ill to refuse. It's delicious, I probably ate better here.

We eat traditional foods near Lake Batur. With the number of lakes that we have with us, we are not exposed but the volcano with its lava is still visible in the background enchants us. Without children, we would have liked to climb.

On the way back, we move into a small village very typical. Still full of stray dogs and straw-roofed huts are piled on each other. In a garden, are clinging to trees in coconut, are deposited the placentas of newborns. Do we understand? Affirmative. They really all sorts of beliefs and worship here.

was stopped also in the farmer. There are fruit trees (craramboles, limes, tangerines, pineapples, coconuts, bananas, oranges, papayas, passion fruit, cocoa and more. He has many other fruits that I do not know. It tastes everything that is new to us. There is a coffee plantation. The best coffee in the world according to them, one eats and shits after a certain animal which I can not remember the name. We did enjoy cocoa , teas and coffees.

Tired of our big day, we return to Ubud. One good thing we have as a driver driving here is crazy. We're going to celebrate my birthday dinner in a nice cafe where we eat by candlelight on little tables in beautiful gardens. Finally we pay a bottle of wine, nothing exceptional but still wine. Wine is probably the scarcest commodity here on the island.

Delighted with our driver, we reserve for a second day. We begin our day at 9:00 am in the market. Horror for Luc and Eve, it's dirty. The fish are full of flies and are deposited on rags on the floor. I try not to talk about meat. We buy oranges and biscuits for the 47 children the orphanage. We negotiate again to buy a dozen dresses. Can we buy hundreds of pencils and notebooks. After several stops and visits to rice fields, our guide negotiates tabannan market, the purchase and delivery of 25 bags of 25 kilos of rice. Two women carry these bags on their backs. You should have seen the mountain of bags. Enough to feed the 47 children for at least two months.

The orphanage is there more rudimentary but these kids have a roof and have access to education. The government only pays the equivalent of 25 cents Cdn per child. Despite the low cost of living here a bowl of rice costs still surely more than 25 cents, you can imagine their needs? When we arrived, everyone was busy at work. The youth cleaned the yard, caring for older youngsters. Once all together, two young daughters gave us a dance and a young man has played guitar, sang all. Luc them in turn to play the guitar for them. It was a beautiful moment, despite the malaise that prevailed on both sides. Difficult to communicate when no one speaks the same language. I was happy that I moved into their village, have gone into their market share, but mostly to see how the same human deprived of material possessions can be beautiful and strong. Luke

it returned to the house last night. Having visited a large hotel with the girls and I took a painting course. Balinéaise paint for chips and abstract for me. A very beautiful moment.

Since our arrival, Eve is put to the test with all these dogs and cats, lizards, bees nests in the pool, giant snails moving slowly in front of our room. At noon it was I who had to adapt, with mice that were walking on the beams above my head to the restaurant.

Another beautiful morning to you all and a big thank you to all who have also shared with the people here. I super can not wait to show you the smile of the children here.

Happy Birthday to all of you dear mothers. From my side, with my two chips here, I am overwhelmed. Émy Balinese massages me every morning and Eve beautiful designs at any time.

Kisses

Elevated Lymphocytes And Knot On Neck

Hello you all,

We continue our adventure with a mad pace. Lots and lots of experiences and discoveries in such a short time. We spent two days in a small island called Lembogan. We stayed in a small villa with a private plunge pool (big and warm as your bath hot Anne) and superb views of the sea voyage on the high seas in a small boat went well. When we arrived, the chips were happy to relax a little. As with all trips, small contingency from a fall, Emy and I have a skinned knee. Nothing serious but enough to get the disinfectant in the hospital (because we crossed the island with the bare minimum in our backpacks, not much from us). As is rudimentary but good ..... we found our scrapes and does not prevent us to go snorkelling. This time, even at sea Eve was thrown into the water. We found great funds with other varieties of fish of all colors. The food is really good, have lunch, dinner and supper on the edge of the sea, with breathtaking scenery. A Lembogan, there are lots of fishermen and seaweed farmers mostly. People are very nice. From our villa, it is massaged, the time the girls sit and bathe. We walked through small paths along the sea to visit Mushroom Bay.

Yesterday, back in Sanur to retrieve our luggage. En route to Ubud, we visited a beautiful orchid garden. In Ubud we had a little trouble finding a decent hotel (albeit very minimal, we have seen on rice fields and swimming pool). Here, we are really at the heart of Bali, in the heart of culture. A charming small town surrounded by rice fields, we came across people from around the world. We walk through the streets or there are thousands of small shops and coffee. At the market, everyone wants us to try on clothes. Emy chooses a dress that I am offered to 80 000 rup (approx. $ 10) that ultimately you pay 30 000 (approx. $ 4) is believed to have made a good deal, then come see us for all that we buy more than 20 000 rup. Eve wants to know anything, she wants to exit or turn around all of us.

At this price, my first thought was to buy a hundred to give the orphanage we will visit a village or poor. Assist people in buying and restoring here here .... We had dinner around a garden with a lotus dance and music lesson.

This morning, as the party to Eve, we took him, according to his wishes, lots of birds and reptiles. We saw more than 1000 species of birds from around the world, lizards, crocodiles, giant tortoises and komodo dragons of course .... sort of crocodile-faced dragon (Friends of Emy and Eve, we took lots of pictures for you). For those who read the book "Eat, Pray, Love", I met Ketut, the sage of Bali, which was still 100 years. He read the lines of the hand. This is my third life, I have a very good karma. In life, I'm lucky I live and old. I am very lucky, I succeed I will undertake everything, I'll spare you, it could go to my head .... short for those who have read is really like in the book, a quiet old man, very nice, a moment of pure happiness. Even Eve and Emy, sitting without shoes of course, on the carpet of Ketut, adopted a calm attitude and they demonstrated extreme patience. I think they were very intrigued. Then we also went for a drink filled with health vitamin in Wayam (herb doctor friend of Elizabeth). They cleaned my knee with leaves .... I do not know what an experience in itself ... It gave me a bag with honey, oil, I do not know what, peppercorns , who hates me, and a few other bags to purify my blood and my whole body .... Good thing we have a whole other medicine at home. Perhaps the burnt offerings and incense they bring me additional protection. We then dined at a cafe organic matter to remain ... mode health .... We found a brownie and Eve could blow over 8 candles brought from home, of course. You can not imagine how Bali is an island rich in culture and beliefs. It's really fun to discover other ways of living.

Always pressed to write, I forbid you to tell on our return.

Kisses Phil, grandparents and all of you ... We often think of you.

Merial Purevax Side Effects

Hello you all,

We continue our adventure with many still wonder. Bali is truly an island rich in culture and beauty. People are beautiful and smiling. I need more hard drives for all enrigistrer what we discovered here.

We went past two days in the eastern part of the island. We visited other temples, one with thousands of heaters mice. This time, Eve was not the only one to be taken a bit of fear. We visited the palace Semapura. We learned a lot about beliefs. The Balinese believe strongly in reincarnation and that good and evil. On the ceilings of small temples Sémapura, we could see Dizin represantative paint scenes of heaven and others to hell. For example, if a woman has no children, she cut her nipples. A man who practices incest, he burns his balls. Even fart in public could era of serious consequences. We learned about the various ceremonies of the new ones on the filing of teeth at the age of puberty (on file canines which are like the teeth of animals), the 4 required for marriage ceremonies. No wonder they are always invited to the ceremonies. Especially when at every wedding the whole village is invited. I could write a lot about their different customs so interesting. Even Eve and Emy are curious to know (we unfortunately have them translated). We

quickly saw the great baths of a king. We passed through a small fishing village. We did snorkling in a small creek (Blue Lagoon). Wildlife and aquatic flora is especially great. The most beautiful sea floor that I saw. Eve has finally decided to join us to see thousands of beautiful fish multicols photographing in his head. Emy was impressed by the huge starfish an almost fluorescent blue. An aquatic paradise within 20 feet of beachfront, incredible. (Joe you really missed something)

We found a small guest room on the seaside landscape magifique but Luke had to kill more including a spider as big as his fist. Fortunately there were small lizards to eat a few ants.

We traveled two hours to go to the mountains of the ordinary is that we had brought. What a beautiful view of rice fields. Emy and Eve have found and have more than 60 differences between here and among us. Rice fields, people who carry the wood on their heads, children playing barefoot in the water holes, bamboo, articles, offerings, tiny, bamboo shacks that serve as home, a volcano ... . I can not list everything. We have extensively searched the school to finally learn that it was not accessible by car. It finally came we look for in an old 4x4 (AC we called up fishing with Pat and Joe)

What a shock! This Saturday was exactly the party of education. In the event of the 6 children in schools built at the end of the festival. Eve and Émy have forgiven the sons of pencils we bought on our way. This was their finest moment of our adventure in the east, she told me.

The founder of the organization Provrety East Bali told me ... When he came for the first time several years ago in these mountains. He met people who lived like savages. Men patients (30% died annually) which almost uniquely nourishing meat, so nutritional deficiencies and diseases (large bumps in the neck). The women gave birth to children for the most part disabled. They were obviously illiterate. They drank water mixed with earth. Everything was changing and there are still A LOT. They started treating these people. Construct roads to enable them to have access to civilization. In these mountains, some culture, the rice is impossible. They still managed to grow some vegetables. The people began to trade, their cons vegetables rice or fish from the sea but they did not know not count. So we built a school first, then with donations, another. There are now 6.

To drink, they know now that water from the top of the mountain is better. Very archaic systems allow them to collect rainwater to wash dishes or wash clothes. Poverty is extreme. The tiny, ésont premises or simply that one finds a table and chairs. By lack of resources and teachers of course, children come to school only 3 days a week. They are taught to read, write, count and lots of other stuff like doing with bamboo bags, sewing .... we try to teach them to exploit their creativity. little time is allocated for the average person often gets up around 4 am in the morning to pick up for about 3 hours of grass to feed the animals, then 3 more hours to gather wood in order to then cook on the fire .... everything is done here, I swear. I have great admiration for those people who are here to help, to devote their lives and have little to not allow its people to live a better life and to all those who had to donate, like Coca Cola provided their water with minerals and vitamins to help them be healthier.

They had told me they would like a computer to enable children to learn journalism. I am a little confused because their primary needs seem more pressing, but they are better placed than me to judge. With all the achievements that I see with my own eyes, I can only believe in their good will. A major disappointment, despite all my warnings, the computer I was not working REPOR It worked great for our departure. Is it the power or was it damaged in transit I do not know. I had to recheck our room before leaving. I am so disappointed. Especially children and the staff were so happy. They'll try again with different adapters and if not, we buy one here or we'll find another way to help them of course.

That said, we realize once again how lucky we are to be surrounded by so much wealth. Do not be sad because despite the misery, these children smile. Here is this assistance and the link famillial seems very strong. Partou, we see the play with the older smaller ones, despite this poverty, this hard work to accomplish everything from everyday life, they have fun. Is not this a good moral ..

I could continue writing for hours and it urges me pousuivre my discoveries. We leave today for a small island named Lemborgian. Excuse the mistakes, I did not have time to read. What is important is that the message continues.

What Do They Do In A Genital Examination

Hello you all,

We are very well. We are a busy day. We visited Nusa Dua area for tourists very rich, I'm happy not to be valid notwithstanding the beauty of the landscape. Say ca clashes with the rest of the island. By visiting the South Island we saw beautiful coves with beautiful waves for surfers, super relaxed atmosphere and very palpable serenity reigns. We visited a temple or a multitude of live monkeys. Luke has even been stolen his cap with one of them. Eve did not much like. Then we attended some sort of ceremony, or a man walked into a trance in the fire. There were dancers with colorful costumes. Emy loves. We had dinner in the warung or Jibraham we chose our fish freshly caught.

Yesterday we visited Kuta and Legian. Beautiful beaches of Surf streets with thousands of shops. Before each, on sidewalks, small dishes with offerings (flowers, cookies ...), renewed every day. As Emy said, it's hard to walk. The population density is impressive here.

Today we depart to visit the east. If possible we will give the laptop I brought, see seaport, temples, and at the end of the day we sleep in the rice fields.

chips will go well, these are big days for them but they do not seem to complain. Instead Emy told me this morning that it was much more extraordinary than what was imagined. Greetings to all

What Is The Best Vintage Stereo Receiver

Hello you all,

Bali is a wonderful island. In fact expatriation, I served as desired. The long journey to get here went very well, Eve said: ¨ It was great, with TVs on each bench, I have at least Play 10 movies, then to Seoul I made art and painting ¨ chips have really been champions, they are immediately handed over to the new time here. They are great travelers. When we arrived, the driver of the Pondok, Ayu, was waiting with a big smile. We had a little scared on seeing running inside tiny alleys full of roosters and stray dogs in Sanur. I wanted to be in the middle of the people, again, I am well served. Phew, for as you cross the barrier of the hotel is perfect. Dark and clean, the place is welcoming, you feel immédaitement home. It is 1:00 am and is still 28 deg. We appreciate the pool, for once almost too hot.

In our first day, we go on the beach of Sanur. There are more local than tourists. We want to sell us things we massage, a manicure we do, we do braids .... Even in English it is sometimes difficult to understand but it's okay, it's part of the scenery. We bathe, we walk, we acclimated to the heavy heat. Before dinner, our driver took us to a night market. Alleys full of Balinese who break the crust in the warung, where they sell all sorts of things is that difficult to move around. It was really a label inscribed tourists stuck in his face. . It does not bother Émy not who she wants to shop. She wanders slightly, laughing and eating his peanuts Boulle. Supper on the edge of the sea, the food is excellent.

When ur second day, the long-awaited moment. 10:00 Rucina picked us to go to school in Sanur share what the children of Quebec have been willing to give to those in Bali and then meet with the children we sponsor.

The school is populated, they are at least 45 per class and we are informed that children come in the morning or after noon because it lacks space. The school is what is easier with their beautiful uniforms but all the same. we do not distinguish too much poverty. Children are very cheerful, they bousculenet around us. As a group, saw us, they sneer. At the office, he brought Erman, the little girl that we sponsor and she is uncomfortable because it has not explained why .. When he explains the reason, she finally smiled. Here they call us Mom and Dad Luke Sonia, we are presented as his second family, he explains that we want to help him succeed his education and that it should apply to school. It feels a bit uncomfortable for us the gift is so little.

He then asks if she wants to help us distribute small gifts to friends of his freshman class. They are around 45 small smiling children sat quietly two per office. Each turn, they just choose a decorative rod and another gift in the bag that you helped us to fill. Then we shook hands, and avoiding our gaze (they still look down), they thank us (telematkasi, say thank you like that word). Thus, it serves more than 45 small children's hands happy. It is not easy to trade without understanding or speaking their language. Fortunately there are people translating for us.

Eve and Emy are super happy to share. Emy also around to give everyone a little treat like a rock (which comes from the Magdalen Islands ...) Then we redo the exercise with two classes of fifth year together. That's a lot of smiles. Since the other group is paused, we leave things for 1 or 2 other classes.

Then we meet the little that Eve is sponsoring, she was handed some items specially chosen for her. Then, we present a small 9 year old boy, sorry I forgot her name but I swear that in Balinese it is not easy to remember. He talks about you and your parents dear Victor, the little boy thee also wrote a nice little note in Balinese, we had it translated, of course.

People who join us we inspire confidence. They respond well our questions and definitely seem to see well-age children. School fees are paid directly to the school, it pays $ for snacks but we are assured that each child support comes to school with her snack. It was confirmed sponsorship of 5 children, we decided to sponsor 7. We meet 2 others and there are both absent because they are in ceremony with the families (It seems very common here, ceremonies almost every day)

We offer to meet each family. Since we do not want to be too intrusive and that day is already very advanced, we agree to go visit only one family, that of Erman, the little girl Eve sponsors. She lives with her little sister, her parents and grandfather. Here, one can understand the meaning of our actions. Lost in the land where you must walk to get there, we see a harsh reality. Small huts around successive extremely polluted streams (probably kind of drains) where children play with others. They always greet us with a smile. On a bench, taking a picture of two families. What a shock. .. They show us the kitchen and then outside in the small hut where they sleep. We believe they have hens, rooster and three calves, but we are taught they rent just a tiny bit of their land. It is uncomfortable especially as no language can not communicate. Seeing the little sister Erman, I think the clothes are too small to Emy I finally made to fill the bag of gifts. As I am glad to have thought. They follow us all until the car left the village at first if it may be call'd so.

This is a little story that unfortunately can not convey all the emotions but to all of you who have given their name and in the depths of my heart, thank you.

Émy preque tears in his eyes told me I would have liked ¨ mom will bring Erman swim with us at the pool at the hotel. and Eve was soon eager to add me, so I wanted to bring Mom. You know in my head, I took lots of pictures .. ¨ chips were saddened at the poverty but at the same time so happy for their gesture. This morning, Emy rose by trying to draw in her diary she and Erman on the bench outside his house. She did not want me to write. The memories remain etched in their minds. I hope they will in turn tell their experiences.

Big kisses to all, Sonia

39 Weeks Pregnant Lower Sharp

On April 25, 2009

Hello you all,

During our tour, you will receive news via J-Mark our reporter, hoping that we can easily write you from there . We're on our final preparations, very excited to go.

Thanks to all those who kindly support us in our project. Emy and Eve took a blast to see what their friends had put into the suitcases. I think they were even more happy than when they receive their gifts at Christmas. Philipe and they also searched every corner of the house to also share their own things.

Thanks to your donations, surely we will sponsor children from May to October. On our second day we will visit a school in Sanur to give the objects in the bag. We meet the children we sponsor. We will accompany some of these children in a family environment.

We also plan to buy then give rice to an orphanage where needs seem alarming. We are also one of my laptops that we give to a school so that the Balinese can also embrace the world.

Hope to tell you about our adventure soon

Sonia

Hello,
We're going to Bali tomorrow and we look forward to. Thank you to all the friends who gave us things to fill the bag, I think the kids over there will be very happy. Although Bali is a place very far from here, I hope you'll remember me. I'll think of you guys.

At the discovery of another world, sharing ...

Historically, I have heart to stimulate the interest of my children the world around us. Several of you have probably visited beach destinations with your children. Beyond these pleasure trips, I now wish to take advantage of these travel experiences also to open their consciousness to the cultural and social differences that exist in the world.

Our next destination is the island of Bali in Indonesia. In this tropical paradise called " Island blessed by the gods "by the Balinese, there are still areas of extreme poverty outside the tours, especially in the east. Through this blog, we will demonstrate our experience to allow you to go around with us. For more information on child poverty in Bali see the video http://www.eastbalipovertyproject.org/aboutus/

This adventure we will discover a lifestyle very different from what I know and share our wealth with the poorest children. To make the experience more tangible for the children, Eve and Emy seek help from their classmates to fill a suitcase that can be used or simply to please the Balinese children.

In Bali, many children do not attend school because they are orphans or because parents lack the necessary financial resources. Note that for U.S. $ 160, we can allow a Balinese child to attend school for one year. So we will sponsor a little girl in the second year that we will meet directly in the middle.

If you also want to contribute and help the neediest children in Bali, please contact me via email to soniareid@ccapcable.com , I tell you how to send me your donations. Your input is important on several we can make a big difference in the life of a child.

We try to update this blog during our trip and we will provide more news and photos by email to all those interested in the project. See you share our adventure. Sonia Reid
