social bond, bond of love
"It is better to be two than one, because two good is removed from the work. Indeed, when dropped, one is his companion, but woe to him who is alone and falls without having to lift him up close! Similarly, if two people sleep together, they have hot, but one who is alone, how will he hot? If anyone can win against one man, two can resist him; cord of three son does not cut easily. "
Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12
In sociology, the social bond is the set of relationships that bind individuals in
part of the same social group and / or establish social rules between individuals or social groups.
The human being is a relational being whose capacity for communication is one of its essential characteristics
. Connect it to exist, even in cases of extreme isolation (or prison world "cancéral"), man continues to communicate, sometimes its survival depends on it. And even alone on a desert island, man lives only if it establishes a good relationship with oneself.
If man is a relational being, we see a profound change in the nature of these links with the other, especially with the poor. Before the big decline in the fourteenth century,
the organization of society was then on a local, village or cluster of villages
ensuring the livelihood of its poor. The cripple, he was supported by either his family or by the parish
which it depended and played a role in the world areas, it allowed for the repurchase of
sins because he was like Christ, humble among the lowly.
Poverty far does not rhyme with exclusion. Today, we live in total disregard of others and the rejection or denial of the tramps, the homeless, the marginalized of all kinds.
in our societies, the social bond is not always synonymous with a bond of love.
Questions: What is the Church? What Christians forge links among themselves and with the rest of the world ?
Of all our senses, the eye is particularly because we are dealing with the eyes before doing it by hand, we find a look before saying a word ....
I ° The nature of the relationship depends on the attitude to the door on self and other.
The other value in the eyes of God "He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes shall not perish point but have eternal life" John 3: 16 . The criterion of God is love of neighbor.
It is imperative that God changes our view so that we do more servings
looks of indifference, hate, jealousy, contempt, hypocrisy that corrupt relationships we forge with
another.
Jesus invites us to experience a balanced humanity borrow the pitch:
1. Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22: 37), in other words, tied with
your next social ties which are bonds of love. To love our neighbor, we have
love yourself, who has a bad image of him and is unable to "cohabit"
with himself will have difficulty establishing a good relationship with others.
2. Considers the other as being above you (Philippians 2: 3), without really likes arrièrepensée.
"Love is patient, is kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, it is not puffed up with pride, it does nothing dishonest, it does not seek its own interest, it is not irritable, it does not suspect the evil, it does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices the truth, he forgives all, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never dies . " 1Corinthians 13 :4-8.
link we have with others not not depend on its status, race, culture or social class. The other is me, a man like me, the other is Jesus who identified with each.
for thought: Yet we often have with our brothers and sisters or elsewhere links without love. What are the reasons? Are we aware of the danger knowing that "we will judge you the same way that you will be judged and you will use to measure which you will be served."
Matthew 7: 2
II ° The social bond is the yardstick of God
This may seem surprising that, ultimately, God does not ask us accountable for our faithfulness in
tithing, attending prayer meetings, the practice of fasting, but we will be judged solely on the quality of links that we talked to each other. "Then shall the King say unto them on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world! In fact, I was hungry and you gave me meat: I was thirsty and you gave me drink: I was a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me: I was in prison and ye came unto me. " The righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when saw we thee hungry and fed t'avonsnous, or thirsty and gave thee drink? When did we see You a stranger and have we allowed, or naked and clothed thee we? When saw we thee sick or in prison and we came unto thee? "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whenever you did this the least of these my brethren, is to me that you did. " "
Matthew 25: 34-40
link automatically becomes a social bond of love since we live in
humanity regenerated by the action of the Holy Spirit. Without the presence of God that assures the verticalitédans life of man, the latter may have experiences that challenge very seriously !
disturbing experience: a recent televised "game of death" was staged a participant in a set of questions and answers, and in case of error, he received from the public electric shocks. This show was rigged, the public believed send electric shocks (the majority has given the maximum dose) to the player who actually simulated the worst suffering. This experiment shows that under the control of an authority to the particular case, the
television, perfectly normal individuals can come to create reports totally dehumanized even inhuman.
Third social ties is useful
The text of Ecclesiastes emphasizes the usefulness of social ties: consciously or not, we need the other
.
1. Professional sphere
"It is better to be two than one, because two good is removed from the work. Indeed, when dropped, one is his companion, but woe to him who is alone and falls without having to lift him up close! " Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10
Complete a project is facilitated if it is based on teamwork: union is strength told. In some cases it is downright dangerous to venture alone: the work in the building, archaeological excavations, piloting an aircraft are such trades, which require to be surrounded by at least one collaborator or co-pilot.
The Christian life is founded on the principle of union and unity. Donations are
granted for the building of the body and is that the various organs of the body can perform their function. However, it was hyped up that salvation was individual, as pushing the logic through, believers have forgotten the interpersonal nature of salvation: the image of the body of Christ is a symbol. Christians are not saved so scattered but access to the kingdom here on earth by one with Christ in his church.
This collaboration is recommended by Jesus to his disciples when the mandate: "Then he
called the twelve and began to send them out two by two, and gave them authority over unclean spirits . " Mark 6: 7
Question: I am in the church, fellow pilgrim who falls when dropped? Am I fully understood the reality of Christ's body and the way for me to be an agent of unity and support?
Am I aware that the company advocates the contrary, individualism, indifference and the "every man for himself ? How to not be swayed?
2. Socio-humanitarian sphere
Similarly, if two people sleep together, they have hot, but one who is alone, how will he hot? Ecclesiastes 4: 11
Here, the image evoked by the mutual Sage is a beautiful application in the experiment qu'ontfaite two cavers lost in the depths of a cave, they have only survived one shaking cons to ensure a minimum of heat needed to sustain life. Souventen exceeding our only interest to consider the other, we are the first beneficiaries. Another image confirms this truth: outdoors, some find it hard to sit on the floor without a back account the fragility of their spine, these same people will sit for hours if they start back to back using one folder to another.
Question: do we need consciousness of the spiritual warmth of the Holy Spirit to stay alive? What are we doing to keep our flame burning? How to avoid situations that us into drafts for our brothers and sisters off or threatening to extinguish their flame?
3. Defense strategy
If anyone can win against one man, two can resist him; cord of three son does not cut easily. " Ecclesiastes 4: 12
If there is one area where the saying "unity is strength" is fully applicable
it is that of war, defense, resistance. All the major battles have been assured by the involvement of everyone in his office and often large armies have faced overwhelming
setbacks because they were going to campaign disorganized.
The strength of a chain is only as good as its weakest link: the link to locate the
consolidation is the right tactic, and it is wiser to choose a chord
son in three instead of the son with only two.
Question: In your class, you consider yourself a weak or strong? Are you enough to listen to others to help him become a strong link? How to live better the "fraternal interdependence"?
Fourth The bond of love is vital is the witness of Jesus the Messiah
The best project of evangelization which can associate every Christian is to love his brother, sister authentic way, unvarnished, without calculation. The bond of love is the most eloquent proof of the Messiahship of Jesus. "I do not pray for these alone, but for those who believe in me through their word, so that all may be one as You, Father, are in me and I in thee, that they are also [a] us that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. I have given them the glory you have given me so they are as we are one I in them and thou in me, so they may become perfectly one, and so the world may know that tum'as sent and hast loved them as You have loved me. " John 17: 20-23
Prayer: Lord, I ask you to change my perspective on myself and on the other, that my gaze is structuring so that my relationships are relationships that build, the other is at the heart of the relationship to I never miss Jesus who happens to be the least of these little ones to whom I extended a hand. Behalf and for the love of Jesus
